Auromatrix began its operations in 1990 as a technical, management and marketing consultant for various hotel developers in India. Extensive domain expertise & cutting edge technology combined with innovation and agility proved as catalysts and the company soon gained significant accolades in this dynamic field, completing more than 40 projects pan India.

Leveraging the acclaim it has received in the hospitality industry, Auromatrix has also formed a joint venture with a private equity investor for developing and managing business hotels across major cities in India.

Propelled by these achievements and a vision for vigorous expansion, the company is planning to amplify its presence by developing resorts & budget hotels at major tourist and business destinations across the country.

The strength and agility of a company is showcased by its ability to quickly realign with market forces and to create a niche in hyper-competitive existing markets. On both these grounds, Auromatrix proved its mettle by the robust diversification that it has done over the years. Rather than playing it safe within its comfort zone, Auromatrix undauntedly surged ahead, setting up businesses with zeal and transforming them into profit centers.

To support it in this mission, Auromatrix has a team of Principal Officers, qualified and experienced in the fields of hotel management, engineering & technical consultancy, project management, sales & marketing, interior designing, and administration. They bring with them earned expertise, updated technologies, ideas, and ever stringent quality norms.

Timelines of key milestones:

1990

Auromatrix initiated as a promising venture providing technical consultancy & project management for hotel projects during construction and subsequently providing management & marketing consultancy services for several hotel developers in India.

1990 – 2006

Rendered services to more than 40 hospitality projects all over India, notably GRT Grand Days (Chennai), Abhay Days (Jodhpur), KK Royal Days (Jaipur), Deccan Plaza (Chennai), etc and was retained as management operators for most of these projects.

1995

Appointed as Master Franchise for Days Inn Worldwide in India.

2002

Franchisee operations for Sterling Resorts commenced. Managed operations for 12 Resorts until 2006.

2006

Urbanedge Hotels Pvt. Ltd., an SPV with Citi Property Investors, formed with an aim of developing business hotels across major cities in India.

2007

A 28-villa resort owned and managed by Auromatrix Hotels commenced operations in Thiruvannamalai.

First phase of development of business hotels in 5 cities across India.

Established Melanje, a prominent lifestyle store in Chennai. It hosts a wide range of furniture, decorative pieces, drapes and jewellery.

2008

A 48-room resort owned and managed by Auromatrix Hotels commenced operations in Kanyakumari.

Auro Maritech, an aquaculture & seafood consultancy company formed. Maritech has been providing aquaculture consultancy worldwide for more than 20 years apart from owning and operating several prawn farms across southern India.

2009

Rigorous expansion resulting in the formation of:

Auro Investment Partners LLC, established to invest in the development of the hospitality sector in the United States of America.

Auro Mannvit, an effort by Auromatrix in partnership with Mannvit of Iceland to develop major infrastructure across India & Sri Lanka.

Auro Furniture & Fitouts, a subsidiary of Auromatrix, manufacturing furniture, fit outs and case goods for the hospitality industry.

Auro Southland Food Services, a distribution company importing and marketing beverages from Southeast Asia and Iceland.

Auro Fleet Services, a logistics and fleet management company that manages a fleet of vehicles in major Indian cities.

2010

Established Stargate, a chain of food & beverage outlets, the first project being the Ampa Skywalk mall, Chennai.

Commenced construction of Sparsa Resort at Passikuda, Sri Lanka.

Entered into a management & marketing agreement with the Deccan group for a 59 cottage Deccan Park resort at Ooty. Commenced operations in March.

Aloft operations in Chennai & Bengaluru commenced.

Formed Advaya Hospitality in United States of America.

2011

Acquired a controlling interest in Hospitality Furniture Collection, LLC, USA.

Launched Modo Hotels, through Advaya Hospitality in United States of America.

Aloft operations in Coimbatore commenced.

Formed a partnership with SR3 Design in USA.
