Auro Maritech

India enjoys a vast coastline of 7517* km and a mostly tropical climate, resulting in a rich variety of marine fauna, with certain species being exclusive to the Indian coast. India's exclusive economic zone, stretching 200 nautical miles (370 km) into the Indian Ocean, encompasses more than 2 million square kilometres, which provides a rich fishing ground and a sustainable supply for the marine industry.

Auro Maritech is one of the most prominent players in the Indian seafood industry, specializing in aquaculture. Auro Maritech owns and operates several prawn farms across southern India. Besides this the company, armed with technical proficiency, has also been providing aquaculture consultancy worldwide for more than 20 years.

In 1989, Maritech became the private sector protagonist in the commercialization of Shrimp Aquaculture in India. Starting as consultants for the establishment and operation of Shrimp Aquaculture Projects, Maritech today has to its credit, many projects successfully operating across India.

Maritech has played a key role in farming of various kinds of species including Marine Fin Fish (Asian Seabass), production of Soft Shell Crab and identifying the demand for value added products and services in the Aquaculture Sector.
